The actress who started off little late but made a distinct place in b-town, actress who is not so glamorous and does not carry skinny size zero figure like fellow leading ladies but is considered as one of the most versatile and capable bollywood actresses today. She is none other than this year winner of film fare and screen awards for best actress, the beautiful & elegant, Vidya Balan.

Vidya has always been criticized for her odd dressing sense and slightly over weight figure but despite this, she is always considered among top choices of producer-directors, if any meaningful, challenging role comes across which has substance for woman.
Right there from the starting, Vidya has done challenging roles like in “Parineeta”, “Bhool Bhulaiya”, “Lage Raho”, “Halla Bol” and latest in “Paa” and Vidya is still continuing this. The latest buzz is that Vidya is signed for two very challenging roles in two big films . One is “Aamir” fame director Rajkumar Gupta’s ” No One Killed Jessica” which is based on real story, on life of model Jessica Lal.
Vidya is playing the character of Jessica’s brave sister, Sabrina Lal who continued restless fighting until she got justice for her sister’s murder. Actress Rani Mukherjee is also playing a pivotal role in the movie. The second one is director Milan Luthra’s “The Dirty Picture” which is based on the real story of lonely life spent by southern sex bomb “Silk Smitha”.
Vidya will do the title role, Silk Smitha. TV queen Ekta Kapoor is producing the film. “No One killed Jessica’s” shoot has already started and recently an important shoot sequence was done at AIIMS campus where as “The Dirty Picture” will go on the floor very soon.
Apart from the above too, Vidya has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ” Chenab Gandhi” in hand where she will share screen space with “Sach ka saamana ” fame actor Rajiv Khaderwal and Big B.
It seems Vidya is slowly paving her success path in bollywood and could be a big threat to other actresses in near future.
