This sweet glamour doll hails from a conservative middle class bengali family in Jamshedpur, Bihar. Tanu is a commerce graduate and had worked as an event manager in oracle institute before heading to miss india contest. Tanushree was first seen on screen in famous remix of the evengreen song “Sayian dil mei aana re”.

In personal life, Tanu is quite shy, introvert and choosy. Recently filmfare reported that Tanushree is an excellent cook and loves children. Actress quoted, “Yes, I have kissed on-screen, but I don’t feel comfortable doing it.” well, it’s quite surprising that actress who has done many photo shoots in bikini is now turning screen conscious. It seems like actress is getting inspired from Karishma Kapoor who initially exposed a lot but later polished her acting style and done remarkable job in some wonderful movies.

In 2007, Tanushree appeared in number of films like Dhol, Speed, Risk, Raqeeb but following year her only release in 2008 was “Saas Bahu And Sensex” which did average at box -office.

This year, the sizzling dusky beauty is all set to rock on the silver screen again Media sources reported that Tanushree has done a powerful action packed performance in her recently completed drama “Rama –The Savior”. Her another upcoming movies are Celina Jatiley, Govinda and Upen Patel starer comedy “Do Lucky” and Abbas –Mastaan’s thrilling comedy “Mr. Fraud” in which she is sharing screen with Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu and Sanju Baba.
