Last Friday mega release “Aisha” would not break the box-office records but film has really picked up well at the ticket window after the average opening week and kapoor kanya aka new style icon of tinsel town, gorgeous Sonam Kapoor has definitely made a grand reopening of her drowning career via “Aisha”.

Story / Plot: The 19th Century British novel, Emma written by Jane Austen, inspires the film. Aisha is story of a savvy chic from high society of Delhi, beautiful and confident girl “Aisha” (Sonam Kapoor) who lives life on her own terms. Aisha has two best buddies, Arjun( Abhay Deol) and Pinky( Ira Dubey) and a newly found friend Shefali (a small town behenji typo girl, belongs to a hariyana who came in Delhi to get married)..

Aisha believes that love could be planned and anyone can love anybody if situations are created . She has big interest in matchmaking or can say its her favorite hobby to find matches for the people. However, Arjun always comes to her and try to show reality and suggests not to indulge and involve in other’s lives too much but she hardly cares for his views and carries on doing what she thinks right. At first, she successfully finds a perfect match for her aunt and then next she tries to match her new friend Shefali with a guy Randhir Gambhir( Cyrus Sahukar).

In this process, first she converts her friend Shefali to an urban chic, mod and stylish just like her. But she fails. But she still continues to match her with someone else and while matching her friend, she herself develops an infatuation for another guy, London returned handsome hunk Dhruv (Arunoday Singh). But finally Aisha fails and realizes that love is not something to be matched. it happens automatically. Moreover, she realizes that she actually loves Arjun.

The first half is very confined and well edited. The introduction of characters is good then Sonam’s look, style and her matchmaking hobby maintains the grip of audience but later half is little boring and both Abhay and Sonam’s performances seems loose at many instances. In fact the expected chemistry between Sonam Kapoor and Abhay is also missing at multiple instances. Here the director Rajshree Ojha lacks to hold the film till the end. Even he is failed to take the 100% of actors like Abhay Deol who came in an unchallenged, totally plain role for the first time.

Ira Dubey, Curus, Amrita Puri did justice to their performance and music score by Amit Trivedi is also soothing. Especially, the “Gal meethi meethi bol” will make you shake your ass. The best part is dress styling, looks, outfits and makeup, specially for the center character Aisha”.

Overall, Aisha is a fun to watch. Its a light film which might not be able to leave a impression on your mind for a long time but it will keep you tension free for 2-3 hours and a good one time watch.

Star daughter, Sonam Kapoor has just done two films ” Saawariya” and “Delhi 6″ in her 3 years long bollywood journey so far but she behaved very kiddish and refused a very big offer. Is this Sonam Kapoor’s over confidence or she is too choosy that she denied legendary director Mani Ratnam’s film?

Well, seems unbelievable but its true that young kapoor kanya has said “No” to Ratnam’s film. Actually last days, Sonam was approached by Mani’s ex – assistant Shiva for his new project “Paki” for which Mani himself had written the script. But after reading the script, Sonam did not find her role so challenging and thus she refused the offer.

Despite of being not so active in films, Sonam always remains in news beacuse of her bold attitude, photo sessions and outspoken tongue.

Right now, Sonam’s career is running in a very crucial phase as after the gap of nearly two years, her two new films are going to be released. One is father Anil Kapoor’s Home production “Aisha” which is an adaption of the British novel, Emma by Jane Austen & Sonam is playing the title role. The other star cast include Abhay Deol, Arunoday Singh and Cyrus Sahukar.

The other one is Karan Johar’s dharma production’s “I Hate Love Stories” , in this film Sonam is paired with Imraan Khan. Both of these films are presenting Sonam in modern, glamorous look unlike what she did in her earlier two films “Saawariya” and “Delhi 6″.

These two films will decide, where does Sonam stand in bollywood battle. When Sonam was questioned on that, She laughs, “Oh yes, it looks like I have to appear in two new examinations in two consecutive months.”

However, apart from these two releases, Sonam has two big films in hand. One is Great actor Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut ” Mausam” opposite Shahid Kapoor and second is Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy “Thank You” opposite Akshay Kumar.

So, Sonam has quite good chances of achieving success. Lets see how it goes.

Definitely, starlet Sonam Kapoor is a 21st century stylish, mod girl with full too bold and bindaas attitude in front of media & camera but she is still Papa Anil Kapoor’s shy gudia at heart. Last days, Sonam was shooting for her upcoming romantic comedy “I Hate Love Stories” which is being directed by renown designer Manish Malhotra’s nephew, Puneet Malhotra and actor Imraan Khan is playing male lead in the film.

The film’s cast and crew was all set to shoot an emotional romantic encounter between Sonam and co-actor Sameer Dattani and suddenly, some how Sonam’s dad Anil Kapoor reached on the sets to see daughter’s work and surprise her. But when Sonam saw her dad, She did not find herself comfortable to shoot such an intimate love scene in front of her father’s eyes and asked Puneet to shoot the scene later.

Puneet agreed and shot the close ups on Sameer Dattani and later when Anil left the location, Sonam’s part was shot. Well, This was about the scene, but inside news is, Sonam and Puneet are so fond of each other and started dating as well. Moreover, these fumes have reached to Anil also.

Now, if we talk about Sonam’s filmi career, apart from this project, Sonam has grabbed Film ” Mausam” opposite Shahid Kapoor which will be directorial debut of Shahid’s father & talented actor Pankaj Kapoor and one more big film offer opposite Akshay Kumar.

Nevertheless, Sonam has snatched one big endorsement offer from Katrina Kaif. Sonam is a new brand ambassador of Spice mobile which was earlier endorsed by Priyanka Chopra and then Katrina Kaif. Really, There is definitely something special about Sonam Kapoor that in spite of doing just two films in her three years long career, Sonam is considered among one of the hottest babe of b-town.

Her next film “Aisha” which John Abraham is releasing soon. Lets see how well this film will perform at the box-office.

After gorgeous Sonam Kapoor, once again a Kapoor babe Shraddha Kapoor, made an entry to try her luck in Bollywood. This beautiful newbie is daughter of famous actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi, elder sister of veteran actress Padhmini Kolhapure.

Shraddha just made her bollywood debut last week with director Leena Yadav’s much hyped film “ Teen Patti” and She got a chance to share screen space with legendary actors like Sir Ben Kingsley, Amitabh Bacchan & R Madhwan in her debut film itself.
“ Teen Patti” is getting a big houseful-opening weekend and grand welcome from audience. In spite of presence of big polished actors and bunch of new comers, Shraddha’s performance got noticed.

Apart from Teen Patti, Shraddha has been signed up opposite Prateik Babbar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming venture “ My Friend Pinto” which is really a great breakthrough for Shraddha. According to some tabloids, Bhansali was looking for a completely fresh young face; he screened lot of girls and finally found that no one else Shraddha is more capable to do this role.

Shraddha was born in Mumbai and perused higher studies in United States. Shraddha is a trained Indian classical dancer and was leading a dance group “ Jhankar” in Boston University during her college days. Apart from being a good dancer, this young Kapoor girl is also a good guitarist. Before entering to bollywood battle, Shraddha has earned around 4 years of theater experience as well. Perhaps that is the reason of her confident acting and screen attitude in her debut film itself.

Definitely opening is well for Shraddha but lets see how far would she go in this competitive Bollywood.

renown theater peronsality Shaukat Kaifi Azmi, widow of famous peot Kaifi Azmi recently launched her book ” Kaifi & I” which is orginally written in Urdu titled ” Yaddon ki Rehguzar”. Nasreen Rehmaan traslated this amazing love story into english and gave title “Kaifi & I”. polished film actress and Shuakat’s relative ” Tabu” lancuhed the book.

Shuakat Azmi was very happy on launching his own love story and she also expressed her desire to turn this book into a film so that people can see and realize the depth of their love more easily.

Shaukat was missing her husband kaifi too much at the book launch and was getting very emotional about the book. she told to media, “Kaifi and I is book on my life and I have written exactly how I have spent my life. I haven’t exaggerated or made-up any story while writing the book.

May be that’s why it’s gaining popularity and getting translated in several languages like Japanese, Marathi, Hindi and now in English.”. she also expressed her desire saying , “I will be very happy if my book is transformed into a film… The love story which has been described between me and Kaif Azmi, the way we spent life happily even in extreme poverty, would make a good film.”

also when media asked that whom she wants to portray lead characters? she answered quickly that she would prefer Abhishek Bacchan and Sonam Kapoor to play Kaifi Azmi and her characters on screen.

the same story was executed as a play and lead characters were played by real life couple: great actress Shabana Azmi & great writer Javed AKhtar in the year 2006 in India and abroad.

Sonam Kapoor has become the new fashion cum style diva of b – town. Her publicist Dale Bhagwagar informed publically that she is being signed by a well-known producer but he did not reveal further details.
“There is still some time before we can reveal the name of the producer. Narmmadaa is looking forward to a lot of commercial and glamorous roles in Bollywood at the moment,” Bhagwagar told IANS.

Well the secret news is that Narmmada has already three films offers in hand and Govinda’s close friend Salman Khan is planning to promote her career.
Before deciding to step into acting, The upcoming actress did graduation and studied Gemology . Apart from this, she has also done makeup courses from London. Govinda has said, “I don’t want anyone else no matter how well-meaning to take the credit for launching my daughter. So yes, Narmada will finally be launched anytime in 2009.”

He’s added, “I’d have liked Narmada to be launched by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He’s among our best. But since that’s not possible we’re looking at some other names. My daughter has to be directed by someone who has a vision and an aesthetic sense and also respects the work that I do.”
