Star daughter, Sonam Kapoor has just done two films ” Saawariya” and “Delhi 6″ in her 3 years long bollywood journey so far but she behaved very kiddish and refused a very big offer. Is this Sonam Kapoor’s over confidence or she is too choosy that she denied legendary director Mani Ratnam’s film?

Well, seems unbelievable but its true that young kapoor kanya has said “No” to Ratnam’s film. Actually last days, Sonam was approached by Mani’s ex – assistant Shiva for his new project “Paki” for which Mani himself had written the script. But after reading the script, Sonam did not find her role so challenging and thus she refused the offer.

Despite of being not so active in films, Sonam always remains in news beacuse of her bold attitude, photo sessions and outspoken tongue.

Right now, Sonam’s career is running in a very crucial phase as after the gap of nearly two years, her two new films are going to be released. One is father Anil Kapoor’s Home production “Aisha” which is an adaption of the British novel, Emma by Jane Austen & Sonam is playing the title role. The other star cast include Abhay Deol, Arunoday Singh and Cyrus Sahukar.

The other one is Karan Johar’s dharma production’s “I Hate Love Stories” , in this film Sonam is paired with Imraan Khan. Both of these films are presenting Sonam in modern, glamorous look unlike what she did in her earlier two films “Saawariya” and “Delhi 6″.

These two films will decide, where does Sonam stand in bollywood battle. When Sonam was questioned on that, She laughs, “Oh yes, it looks like I have to appear in two new examinations in two consecutive months.”

However, apart from these two releases, Sonam has two big films in hand. One is Great actor Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut ” Mausam” opposite Shahid Kapoor and second is Anees Bazmee’s romantic comedy “Thank You” opposite Akshay Kumar.

So, Sonam has quite good chances of achieving success. Lets see how it goes.

But since then Genelia’s two big films “Life Partner” opposite Fardeen Khan &, “Chance Pe Dance” opposite Shahid Kapoor are released but none of them did so well on the box-office and thus Genelia could not en-cash Jane Tu’s grand success. “Rab ne Bana Di Jodi” ‘s sweet, cute Tani aka Anushka Sharma is now back on silver screen, in a totally opposite, fully mischievous & badmaas look for her latest film, Yashraj’s ” Badmaas Company” opposite young heartthrob Shahid Kapoor.

After achieving tremendous success in modelling circuit, Anushka joined film industry via Aditya Chopra’s SRK starer “Rab Ne…” and after the span of nearly two long years, “Badmaas Company” is Anushka’s second release since then.

Both Anushka and Shahid keep huge expectations from this film and film is getting positive response from the audience as well in the opening week. The story revolves around three friends (Shahid, Anushka and Chang) who are day dreamers and want to get rich very soon.

They together make some chalu plans and set a million dollar company on umpteen crooked deals but then after getting money, lots of consequences, action and emotional drama happens and story progresses further.

Recently, When Anushka was attending film’s premiere in London, she was caught by the media and had been interviewed in detail. Many questions have been asked on her professional and personal life.

When she was asked, will she feel shy watching the film along with her family as she has given some quite steamy lip-locking scenes with co-actor Shahid? she answered very frankly.

” I’ve never hidden anything from them. The biggest reason I signed the film was because of my brother. He has a gut feeling about films despite not being from the industry (he’s in the merchant navy).

And the intimate scenes with Shahid are not a big deal. Audiences today don’t have closed minds,” she says.

When tabloids asked the reason for being away from the silver screen for so long, after “Rab Ne..”, Anushka said, “It’s a conscious decision to do as many different roles as possible.

Lots of films came my way after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. But, it’s extremely boring to do the same thing. Unfortunately, the role you play in.”

On personal front, when she was questioned about love and relationships, She smiled and answered very specifically, “There’s no time for love. Relationships require commitment. I’m too selfish at the moment to be in one. My antenna is not up for love” ,says Anushka.

Rabh Ne Mila Di Jodi’s sweet “Tani” aka Anushka Sharma really went very lucky last Sunday, when she just escaped by a falling chandelier on the sets of her new upcoming flick, “Badmash Company” and the full credit goes to Shahid Kapoor. Hero of the film, Shahid Kapoor, really did a heroic act and saved Anushka from falling chandelier at the right moment by pulling her to his side.

The chandelier was crashed immediately after falling on the ground at just a few foot steps away from Anushka and if Shahid was not present there it could be on Anushka’s head because Anushka was getting ready for next scene and she had not noticed at all that chandelier was falling down.

Shahid and Anushka are lead pair of Yashraj’s new film ” Badmash Company” and they were shooting for a music video with film’s choreographer Ahmed Khan at MT studios, Mumbai.

The film is already talk of the town because of its leaked promo over Internet and moreover because of few sizzling lip locking kisses between Anushka and Shahid. According to tabloids reports, Anushka was feeling very uncomfortable at first and was not at all ready to shoot the kisses but later when director spoke to her and asked her to get relax and take it easy, she was OK and shot the sequence without showing any hesitation or shyness in front of camera.

Apart from this film, Anushka and Shahid have been signed as Brand ambassador for Vaseline also. The other big project in Anushka’s pocket is film ” Patiyala House” in which she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar and once again Akshay Kumar will appear in Sikh role in the movie. Other than these, Anushka is also trying to grab role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in “Rockstar”.

The Kapoor khandaan is one of the most powerful families in Bollywood ever since they moved in from Punjab to Bombay in the 1930s. They have a long line of actors, actresses, producers and directors who have hailed from this family. Such luminaries like Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor have hailed from this family.

It was surprising when this Punjabi family contributed actresses into Bollywood like Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, because they hadnt been know for contributing actresses. But Karishma Kapoor broke this line of thought when she debuted with the film Prem Qaidi. Kareena had a slow start with her debut movie, it didn’t do any wonders at the box office. They were pretty much in love and seen everywhere together (there was even an MMS clip floating around which showed them getting close and cosy with each other!).
