Dusky Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu’s decade old ad video is creating a big buzz on you tube these days, because Bipasha is shown topless in the commercial. The video is very revealing and the exposure what Bips did is somewhat non digestible in Indian culture. Commercial was directed by Ken Nahoum and was shot in India itself. Tommy Kane had given the art direction.

The ad was shot long back in the year 1990 for New York Lotto commercial, when Bips was a popular model. Actor Vivek Oberoi had also acted in the ad. In the ad, Bips is shown as a princess whose wedding is going to take place that day and she is getting ready for the ceremony. Vivek has been shown as a multi millionaire Prince, going to marry Bipasha. During bath scene in the ad, Bips is shown topless, almost semi nude.

When tabloids contacted Bipasha about this, her spoke person confirmed Bipasha’s presence. her manager tells a daily, “Bipasha had done this ad in 1999 when she was modelling for Ford Modelling Agency in New York. It was done as an international assignment and was meant for the international market. I don’t know why such an old ad has surfaced now.” While Vivek’s spokesperson says they have no “idea” about this ad.

Whatever it is good or bad but this is definitely favoring Bipasha as Bengali Hottie is back in news again in such a bold way.

Sexy dusky beauty from Bengal, Bipasha Basu is now days busy learning Kashmiri (Urdu) for her new project ” Lamha” which is being directed by Rahul Dholakia and actress is facing hard time to get proper Kashmiri accent for her role ” Aziza”, a Kashmiri Muslim girl in the film but she is working too hard for achieving it.

“It is tough, really tough, because I don’t really understand Urdu,” Basu told. “But I’m never one to shun the urge to learn. I find it great fun. And my director Rahul Dholakia is very patient and chilled out.

The other star cast of “Lamha” features Sanjay Dutt, Kunal Kapoor and Anupam Kher. The film is based on Kashmir. The story of film revolves around the lives of central characters, an army man, played by Sanjay Dutt and his beloved Aziza played by Bipasha and various critical political issues of Kashmir have been covered through out the film. Currently, film’s dubbing is going on and with the help of sound recordist Pankaj Sikka, Bips is giving best final shots to her voice.

Other than “Lamha”, Bipasha has few other challenging projects in hand which are going to release soon. These are Rohan Sippy’s “Dum Maro Dum” whichstars Abhishek Bacchan opposite her, Rituparna Ghosh’s “Pankh”, Anees Bazmee’s upcoming comedy “No Problem”. Rest, she has also done a special guest appearance in Mani Ratnam’s much anticipated upcoming drama “Raavana”.

“Pankh” is a unique story which revolves around a child film actor baby Kusum, which acts as a girl child artist but in reality she is a boy. Film Producer Sanjay Gupta told during a press conference, ” Pankh is a wild ride through the underbelly of the film industry,’ said film’s producer Sanjay Gupta.

This was a story that needed telling. It is a film that will touch every sensitive soul. ‘Pankh’ is Bollywood’s wildest take so far.” The most exciting thing about this film is, Bipasha is playing an imaginary character in the movie who exists in hero’s mind and depending on the moods and emotional status of hero’s mind, Bipasha will appear in nine different looks and shades.

Dusky Bengali beauty Lara, is going to launch her fitness DVD & apparels series in exactly same way as Bipasha Basu launched her fitness DVD range “Fit and Fabulous” recently. Bipasha Basu’s first Bengali film Rituparna Ghosh’s Shob Charitro Kalponik in which she is playing the most special and challenging role of her career till date, is almost ready. Basu is playing role of Radhika , a Bengali house wife, who came back her home land “Kolkata” in search of her missing husband. The whole film moves around her. In this movie, for the very first time, Bipasha will appear in a non glamorous look, wearing traditional Bengali sarees and big sindoor teeka on forehead. This is one of the most awaited films of her career. But all the excitement and zeal what Bipasha had when she signed the movie is now lost. Leggy lady is not enthusiastic about release of her must awaited film. The reason is that producers of film are willing to replace Bipasha’s voice with someone else but Bips is not at all ready for this at any cost.

Bold Actress says, “When I first came to know I wouldn’t be dubbing my own voice I was furious. I’ve gone through this process of having my voice dubbed by someone else. No way will I allow this to happen to my first Bengali film. In fact one of the reasons why I waited so long to do a Bengali film was because I wanted to be sure I could carry off the lines.”

Now, Film Producers gave another twist to Bipasha saying she can do dubbing in her own voice for one print of the movie which will be sent for national award as any film cannot be submitted for national award if actor’s own voice is not used in it. But Bipasha is not ready to do dubbing for just one print.

Actress says clear cut,” I’ll not let the film be released with someone else’s voice. I know what that does to a performance. And I won’t dub only for the National Award print. I won’t dub for only one print. I want every print to have my voice.” Actress further added “When my first Bengali film releases I want people to hear my voice. I don’t want some alien voice to speak for me. I don’t care if I get awards or not. Why should I dub only for the National award? But I want my voice to be heard by audiences who know me well enough by now not to be conned by another voice.”

Now there is lots of suspense involved in this controversy, many people are making many contradictory statements. According to Director Rituparno Ghosh, if actress is willing and able to do it, she should be allowed to do dubbing. According to Bipasha also, this issue is not raised from Director, it’s from production people.

On the other hand, COO Mahesh Ramanathan says ,” we have no problems regarding dubbing with Bipasha but director Rituparno Ghosh only can tell why she should not dub in her voice.. Well, Film is almost completed but when will it hit the theaters and whether we will be able to listen Bipasha’s voice in the movie, this is still unclear.
