It was a great day for Lara Dutta last week, when her family, friends and close relatives from all across the world planned together and came down to one place just to give a two days long, grand surprise celebration to Lara on the completion of ten years of wining precious Miss Universe crown.

Nearly a decade back, Lara won the Miss universe title. Lara was so touched and overwhelmed with this surprise event specially planned by her loved ones. The actress expressed her emotions. “Lara said, “I think I cried more at this celebration than I did when I won!”.

In the year 2000, Lara won the Miss Universe title and the very same year her fellow ladies, Priyanka Chopra and Diya Mirza also won Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific crowns respectively.

In fact, both Lara and Priyanka started off their careers with the same film ” Andaaz” opposite Akshay Kumar but in the span of 9 -10 years, Priyanka’s career has reached to new heights and she is considered much more popular and successful than Lara.

What could be the reason? May be the wrong selection of films or hard luck..whatever be the cause but despite of good looks, sharp acting skills and great professional attitude, Lara had never got such a huge hit and challenging role like Priyanka’s “Fashion”.

But it seems now Lara’s stars are favoring her and she is back on the track. Her last few releases, “Billu”, ” Do Knot Disturb” were considered good on the box-office and moreover, Lara’s performance was well received by filmy pandits, critics and audience, all of them.

Even, her latest release, Sajid Khan’s multi starer “Housefull” is declared a hit and Lara is getting rave reviews for her comic sense and timing. When Lara was asked about “Housefull” success, she said, “I enjoyed working on the film and it was great to be associated with all these people.

It was a wonderful opportunity and not just did I have so many great scenes but also ended up working with number of animals”. She further adds, “I was the most thrilled living being at that time”, remembers Lara, “Sajid had so much faith in me.

The biggest compliment that he gave me was when he compared me with Madhuri (Dixit) and Sridevi when it came to comedy. I am glad he saw such potential in me.”

This year, Lara’s one more big film is set to release soon which is Salman Khan, Govinda and Tabu starer “Banda Yeh Bindass Hai”. The film’s expected release date is 25th June so all of you Lara’s fans just gear up to watch the movie soon after release.

According to tabloids, apart from acting, Ash and Hrithik have sung a duet song as well in the film.

Beyond bollywood, Ash is doing a multi billion Tamil project “ Endhiran” oppsoite great actor Rajnikath. The film’s story is based on famous Tamil writer Rajesh Kumar’s novel on a unique robot with human emotions and feelings. The story revolves around an intelligent young scientist who builds a robot which is capable of feeling things just like humans do and is also able to experience all kinds of human emotions.

B Town’s hottest couple Akshay Kumar & Katrina Kaif got injured last Friday on the sets of choreographer turned director Farah Khan’s upcoming flick ” Tees Maar Khan”. Unit was all set at place called Maljhash Ghat near Mumbai and a special dance number was being shot, for which Katrina and Akshay were supposed to do a long ballet sequence in the rain.

Both the actors are really good dancers and were looking quite energetic too but somehow their timing did not match & unfortunately Katrina’s head butted into Akshay’s Jaws and teeth. And surprisingly, nothing happened to Akshay and he seemed all right but Katrina suddenly started experiencing dizziness after the collision.

Director Farah Khan just called doctor to examine her. About an hour later, Katrina felt better and shoot was resumed but co-star Akshay kept teasing Kat all day.

Kat told Mid Day, ” Akshay and I were doing a song where some lines had to be shot in the rain. They kept splashing water on my face and I was screaming as it was choking me! After one such splash, Akshay was to pick me up romantically and hold me in his arms. But when they drenched me in water and I couldn’t breathe I lashed my head out and whacked him hard in the face by mistake.

“Poor Akki, I felt terrible as he must have hurt his head badly but Akshay can bear a lot of pain and he kept saying it was all right. He’s one person who has never cancelled a day’s shoot despite being unwell or having an accident on the sets. He takes his medicines and completes the shoot quietly without any fuss. Farah asked him if he wanted to take a break. He refused.”

Well, it seems Kat’s stars are not good now days. First she suffered from food poisoning then surgery, next she collapsed on the sets few days back and now she butted her head to Akshay’s jaws.

Soft and sweet Katrina kaif got injured on the sets of her upcoming film De Dhana Dhan yesterday…but nothing to worry, as it was a minor injury and she is recovering real fast. Last year also Katrina got leg injury on the sets of De Dhana Dhan.

And this time again!!!  actually this was the rain song shoot of Priyadarshan’s upcoming film DE DHANA DHAN.the songs was getting pictorized on Katrina and Akshay Kumar and during a dance movement, Katrina over stretched her body and  hurt her back. When she was asked o how is she feeling , she said , “It was a typical baarish-mein-bheegi-sari song. And well, I danced over enthusiastically. It’s always disastrous when you bend your back without a preliminary warm-up. Despite knowing this, I foolishly bent my back on Akshay’s  arm. And as soon as I did that, I felt something give way. Now, I can hardly move around without experiencing pain.”

She also said that she is felling little better now and does not want to postpone the shoot as she has planned holidays with her family in Italy and does not want to miss that..So she wants to finish the current schedule of shooting fast and head to London.

So many people are injured on the sets of this film. First Sunil Shetty got injured on the sets of same film while shooting a underwater scene, he hit his chest with an metal rod and it took several months for him to recover….

On Katrina’s injury, the action king of bollywood, Akshay Kumar said that this film will definitely be a hit on screen as we have given our blood in making this film.

After a long time, in De Dhana Dhan , director Priyadarshan is once again presenting his Hera Feri super comedy  team  Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar together.
