Until she portrayed the character of “Janu” in 2008 Tamil super hit “Silambattam”, Sana Khan was best known for her extraordinary dance performances in sexy item numbers and advertisements but since she acted in Silambattam, her filmi career has taken a wonderful turn and Sana is climbing stairs of success each day.

This sexy item girl has grabbed number of big Tamil film offers. Nevertheless, Sana also won prestigious IIFA best new actress award for her role in her debut film.

Sana Khan was born and brought up in Mumbai. Her father is a Malayali Muslim belongs to Kannur and mother is from Mumbai. Sana started her career as a model in Mumbai and soon become a famous model. She has worked in approx. 50 ads. After earning good fame in modeling circuit Sana jumped to do item numbers.

Being an excellent dancer, she was appreciated here as well. Sana did item songs in movies like Bombay to Goa, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Tamil film “E” etc. in 2008, she got second lead role in Tamil film “ Silambattam”. Her character was a tomboy sort Brahmin girl Janu and Sana lived up to it. Her extraordinary dance performances with actor Simbu are still popular among audience.

Right now, Sana has three tollywood films in hand. One is “Thambikku Indha Ooru” in which she is playing a modern girl carrying western look opposite actor Bharat, Second is “ Aayiram Vilakku” opposite Shanthanoo and the other one is “Saandhu Pottu” with Sibi. Sana has set high expectations with these films and working really hard to show her capabilities and prove herself as a versatile actress.
