Rani Mukharjee is an actress who had given several super hit movies to bollywood and had played almost every kind of challenging role, character of blind-dumb-deaf girl “Michelle” in Bhansali’s “Black” , chulbuli thag and ambitious small town girl in “ Bunty aur Bubli”, romantic middle class girl in “Saathiya” and many others hit films but now it seems luck is not on her side.
Since last 3 years, Rani had not given a single hit even her movies like Laga Chunri mei Daag, Tara Rum Pum, Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic all went big flop on box-office. She had worked so hard for her last release “Dil Bole Haddipa” , played dual roles, acted very well, danced very well but still film is not considered a hit. What’s going on with Rani? Is she crossed the age suitable for such naughty roles or its just her hard luck?
Anyway, where now Rani is trying to overcome from “Dil Bole Haddipa” box – office results and struggling in her career, now Vidhya Balan has snatched a modeling offer of the latest product range from a mosquito repellent brand and Instead of Rani now Vidhya will be new brand ambassador of the product. During a media interview, Tarun Arora, VP – Sales and Marketing for the brand told that they required a fresh face for launching the brand that’s why Rani was dropped and Vidhya Balan was chosen.
It seems, those days are gone when Rani was everyone’s favorite there were heap of films and modeling offers everyday for her. Now story is quite different and one time established actress Rani is now forced to compete with new comers Deepika, Sonam , Sonal Chauhan and fellow actresses Katrina, Bipasha and ofcourse Vidhya.
