Raima Sen, may not be considered such a sex siren and hotty like her younger sister Riya Sen or mom – veteran actress Mummun Sen but Raima has very well inherited, the magnetic attraction and natural acting skills from her grandma, the legendary actress Suchitra Sen.
Where, all the star sons and daughters start their filmi career from highly commercial masala movies, Raima made her debut in bollywood from an offbeat, critically acclaimed film Godmother. Shabana Azmi played the title character in the film but Raima too showed good work in her small role and her performance was appreciated by audience as well as film critics. Then she did “Daman“ with Raveena Tandon and later Rituparna Ghosh’s Bengali movie, Chokher Bali. This movie gave Raima a solid recognition of her own in film industry.
From then onwards, Raima has been appeared in number of Hindi and Bengali movies like Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s blockbuster “Parineeta”, multi – starer Dus, Manorama – Six Feet Under, Honeymoon Travels Pvt ltd, 99.9 FM, C Kompany etc and in each movie, her performance was up to the mark and highly appreciated but the talented actress never appeared in a big role.
Beginning of this year, Raima appeared as a solo actress opposite emerging actor Randeep Hooda in “Mere Khwabo Mei Jo Aaye” but film did not do well at box – office.
But no worries…currently, Raima has quite good projects in hand. She is doing a much-awaited international project, The Japaneese Wife, which is based on Amitabh Ghosh’s successful book of same name. The lovely actress is also doing Leena Yadav’s highly awaited movie Teen Patti. In this movie, Raima will be paired up opposite Southern Superstar R Madhwan. Recently, The Raima – Abhay Deol ‘s acted Airtel Ad won the Bronze Award at Goa –Ad festival.
So, it seems, the beautiful actress is going to rock now.
Unlike other actresses, Raima has always been dear to media. According to media reports, Raima is an easy going, good-natured, well behaved and super cool actress.
Well media is not the only one who likes this sizzling bengali cutie. There are other big fans too. Couple of months back, Media reported that a 24 years old, Young UK guy, has fallen in love with this dusky beauty with deep eyes at the first sight and instantly proposed for marriage too. However, beautiful Bengali chic has not yet accepted the proposal but both are seeing each other and spending time together.
Well, when the mystery of this lovely chemistry will be solved, we can’t say but we are eagerly waiting to see this bollywood beauty rocking on silver screen.
