There is a great news guys. Model turned actress, Canada born, beautiful actress Lisa Ray is free from cancer now.

gorgeous Lisa Ray started her modelling journey long back at the tender age of sixteen and first came into limelight from the famous bombay dying commercial with actor Karan Kapoor.

Soon she attained tremendous success in modelling circuit, graced the cover page of many leading fashion magazines, did enormous photo shoots and walked the ramp for the leading fashion designers.

Later, Lisa jumped into cine world with a cameo in 1994 tamil film “Netaji”, next she acted in telegu film ” Takkari Donga” opposite actor Mahesh Babu and finally made her bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s 2001 super hit suspense thriller ” Kasoor” opposite actor Aftab Shivdasani.

legendary director Deepta Mehta got inspired from Lisa’s performance and offered her an important role of a young widow in her controversial film ” Water” opposite actor John Abraham and since then she has been acting in many films mostly in English language.

Last year, in June 2009, Lisa was diagnosed with a serious disease “Multiple Myeloma” which is a rare and incurable kind of cancer. When Lisa got to know about this, instead of loosing her spirit, she bravely decided to fight against the cancer.

She fought continuously for almost 10 long months, finally got stem cell transplant which is the only way to deal with these rare disease and at-last she won the battle. Lisa is now totally free of cancer, absolutely fit and healthy and ready to re-start her journey of life.

Last days, Lisa Ray made her first public appearance after successful treatment in Los Angles. Lisa spoke about her upcoming film ” Cooking with Stella’ and had also put some light on her fight against cancer.

the beautiful Blondie revealed her future plans. ““This has hijacked my life for long enough and now I am going to take matters into my own hands,” and that she now feels “reborn from the inside out.” Soon she will be in India for her next projects and is even thinking of taking up writing, says Lisa”
