A close source reveals “She has had several offers to do different kind of shows. But EM has caught her attention and she’s willing to consider the offer. It will be an all-women cast with 14 contestants. These girls will be given a complete makeover in terms of hair, make-up and dress appeal. And though, she hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet, Lara will most likely host the show.”

But we asked Lara Dutta’s spokesperson about her television debut, he said, “Lara’s busy right now with Don 2 and the release of Chalo Dilli. She’s not looking at anything else for the moment.”

As a matter of fact a few years ago the desi version of Extreme Makeover was aired on small screen where Mona Singh hosted the show in the name of ‘Naya Roop, Naya Zindagi’. This show showcased distraught individuals who were facing stigma, loneliness due to some physical features.

If you don’t know about EM, we will tell you what it is. Actually Extreme Makeover is a television program from ABC in which individuals volunteered to receive an extensive makeover in Hollywood. The show was created by television producer Howard Schultz. It first aired as a television special. It began airing in 2002. A total of 55 episodes were produced. The show’s first surgeon was Dr Garth Fisher of Beverly Hills, California.

Now let’s see how successful will this new innings for Lara Dutta be?

The hot couple was regularly dating for quite a long period and both have always been seen together in the award functions and other public events. But they never accepted their relationship in public because Bhupati was undergoing his divorce with his former wife “Shweta Jayshankar” who had blamed Lara for her divorce with Bhupati. But Lara says that she met Bhupati after a year of separation with his wife.

Bhupati made their engagement announcement on the twitter. Mahesh Bhupathi’s twitter status read, “So Lara and me got engaged in NY last week”, and Lara replied with a smiley and confirmed the news.

Lara told in a interview as well that Bhupati proposed her for marriage during their US visit and they got engaged soon.
“He did it over a candlelit dinner and took me completely by surprise. I couldn’t believe that he had picked the stone and designed the ring all by himself,” said Lara.

Prior to Mahesh Bhupati, Lara Dutta has been romantically linked with model Kelly Dorji and actor Dino Morea but both the relationships got failed. Bhupati was also married but it ended in divorce. Well now finally both Lara and Bhupati have found their life partners and we wish them luck.

Couple of days back, Bollywood hottie Lara Dutta, had an unexpected bad moment at IFFA awards held in Colombo, Srilanka. Lara was dressed in a sexy, low cut golden color gown which was highlighting her curves and actress was looking ultimate hot. But, seems it was not the good day for Lara and she faced an embarrassing moment of wardrobe malfunction.

This happened when Lara was on the stage to present the launch of a musical reality show in which she is participating at a regular judge and began addressing the crowd, then suddenly her gown strap snapped off from the shoulder. But the intelligent lady remained cool, quickly held the strap and went backstage to fix it.

Lara had always been very elegant and sober in dresses and attitude and it is her nice presence of mind that instead of getting panic, she just tackle the situation calmly and went backstage.

Lara’s beau, famous tennis star of India, Mahesh Bhupati was also present there in award cermony and he accompanied Lara at once after the malfunction incidence happened.

Nearly a decade back, Lara won the Miss universe title. Lara was so touched and overwhelmed with this surprise event specially planned by her loved ones. The actress expressed her emotions. “Lara said, “I think I cried more at this celebration than I did when I won!”.

In the year 2000, Lara won the Miss Universe title and the very same year her fellow ladies, Priyanka Chopra and Diya Mirza also won Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific crowns respectively.

In fact, both Lara and Priyanka started off their careers with the same film ” Andaaz” opposite Akshay Kumar but in the span of 9 -10 years, Priyanka’s career has reached to new heights and she is considered much more popular and successful than Lara.

What could be the reason? May be the wrong selection of films or hard luck..whatever be the cause but despite of good looks, sharp acting skills and great professional attitude, Lara had never got such a huge hit and challenging role like Priyanka’s “Fashion”.

But it seems now Lara’s stars are favoring her and she is back on the track. Her last few releases, “Billu”, ” Do Knot Disturb” were considered good on the box-office and moreover, Lara’s performance was well received by filmy pandits, critics and audience, all of them.

Even, her latest release, Sajid Khan’s multi starer “Housefull” is declared a hit and Lara is getting rave reviews for her comic sense and timing. When Lara was asked about “Housefull” success, she said, “I enjoyed working on the film and it was great to be associated with all these people.

It was a wonderful opportunity and not just did I have so many great scenes but also ended up working with number of animals”. She further adds, “I was the most thrilled living being at that time”, remembers Lara, “Sajid had so much faith in me.

The biggest compliment that he gave me was when he compared me with Madhuri (Dixit) and Sridevi when it came to comedy. I am glad he saw such potential in me.”

This year, Lara’s one more big film is set to release soon which is Salman Khan, Govinda and Tabu starer “Banda Yeh Bindass Hai”. The film’s expected release date is 25th June so all of you Lara’s fans just gear up to watch the movie soon after release.

The interesting part of the story is that Bipasha knows about Lara’s plans. She recently made her comments on the matter.
“I have heard that a lot of people are thinking along similar lines. I have no problems if people follow trends but I hope whosoever does it, does it with all their heart, dedication and passion in it and not just as an experiment, or a PR strategy, “ says Bipasha.

Bips even told a tabloid that Lara’s friends were spying on Bipasha’s DVD launch plans. They tried to fetch the information from Bips office and friends indirectly which does not come under professional ethics. In stead, they could have asked her directly.

But on the other side, according to Lara, she is not copying anyone else but the idea of launching her fitness DVD series is totally inspired from her own hard work and success in achieving perfect bikini figure in her last year release “Blue”.

Well, Lara is right now busy in promoting her upcoming flick, Sajid Nadiawala’s “Houseful” with Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and fellow ladies Jiah Khan & Deepika Padukone. Film promos are out and Lara is looking quite hot. Now the question arises, Will this multi starer film be able to save Lara’s drowning career or not?
