Following year 2001, the hyderabadi beauty made her bollywood debut from romantic musical melody Rehna Hai Tere Dill Mein opposite Southern heartthrob R Madhwan. Film was an average hit at box office and audience loved Diya. Never the less, she was being compared with bollywood beauty icon Aishwarya Rai but unfortunately Diya did not grabbed so much popularity and big film offers later as compare to her Miss India Pageant pears Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra.

Diya was not able to maintain her first film stardom as her successive films Dewwanapan , Tumko Naa bhool Payenge, Pran Jaye par Shaan Naa Jaye, Dum did not done well at box-office. However, Diya got some challenging roles and performed very well in movies like character of a mentally challenged girl in Tehzeeb and female lead role “Purva” in Alag: He is different but she was not lucky enough to get much noticed.

Since then, Diya has been appeared in small roles in several multistarter movies almost every year like Pareneeta, Dus, Shootout At lokhandwala , Honeymmon travels Pvt ltd, Kraazy Four etc. However, she never got solo appreciation for acting like her fellow actresses but this pretty actress is cool, hard working and determined in nature and never ready to back off from the battle.

In spite of struggling to reserve a place among top actresses for number of years, The sexy- lovely Diya Mirza never lost courage and the elegant lady of bollywood has number of good film offers currently. Soon she will appear in upcoming action – thriller Acid Factory. Delicate actress has done some real tough stunts and action sequences by her own. also she is the only female star in the drama and thus have high expectations with this movie. Other films are Neeraj Vora’s Familywala, Sanjay Gupta’s Alibaug, Utv picture’s Kissan and multistarrer Qurbaan.

Diya was good at studies but was an introvert child in school, actress gained confidence by her Mom’s help. Diya is fond of reading, writing, painting and listening music.
