Initially, when the film was announced, it was said that Saif Ali Khan will be paired with Priyanka Chopra but later film’s creative unit suggested that Deepika will be better suit the role of a south Indian girl rather than Priyanka.
“Two States” is a inter cast love story just like seventy’s super hit film “EkDuze Ke Liye” starred Kamal Hasan and Rati Agnhihotri.

“Two States” is a story of love between a Tamil girl Ananya and Punjabi Boy Krish from Delhi. The major part of the book revolves around guy’s and girl’s family and their tactics to get permission from their families for the marriage.

Now because Deepika belongs to Bangalore, she might be better choice to play a south Indian girl and Saif is undoubtedly best choice for Punjabi munda and moreover this pair had already proved their rocking chemistry onscreen in last year hit, Imtiaaz Ali’s “Love Aaj Kal”.
So Deepika has quite good chances to grab the role over Priyanka.

Well, time will tell that who will be chosen for the role but right now Deepika is busy in shooting of “Break Ke baad” with Imaan Khan in which Deepika is playing a modern metro girl “Aaliya” and Director Ashutosh Govrikar’s patriotic period bollywood drama “Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se” starring Deepika with Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika is playing a contemporary plain girl in the film.

Deepika gave these exclusive statements in famous fashion Magazine “Verve”’s latest issue.

She said, “For me, sex is not just about physicality; there are emotions involved. I have never cheated or strayed when I’m in a relationship. If I’m going to be fooling around, why would I be in a relationship?”

“The first time he cheated on me, I thought there was something wrong with me or the relationship, but when someone makes a habit of it, you know the problem lies with him. Yet I was foolish enough to give him a second chance because he begged and pleaded, despite the fact that everyone around me said he was still straying. I guess I really wanted to believe in him. Then I actually caught him red-handed. It took me a while to get out,” she added further.

Well, after this heart hitting break-up, Ranbir is dating Katrina Kaif and Deepika too has finally moved on and nevertheless, she has find a new beau too who is none other than Kingfisher’s and Bangalore IPL team’s owner Vikram Mallya’s son Siddharth Mallya. Both are always seen together in all the events.

Apart from these two films, Deepika is doing “Parineeta” fame director Pradeep Sarkar’s “Lafange Parinde” opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh & Ashutosh Govarikar’s period drama ” Khele Hum Jee Jaan Se” where as Ranbir is busy in the final shoots of director Siddharth Armand’s “Anjana Anjani” with Priyanka Chopra.

Also, his Prakash Jha directed multi starer, high end political drama “Rajneeti” is ready to release soon.

In fact, media sources claim that Salman was quite impressed with bangalorian beauty when she was launched in “Om Shanti Om” but Salman could not praise Deepika in public and found chance to interact with her directly because he was one of the lead actors of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Saawariya ” which was going to release on the same day and had been considered as Om Shanti Om’s Competitor.

Media reports says, that after number of retakes, when Ad director Pradeep Sarkar and Cameraman Anil Mehta saw Deepika getting so nervous, they got an idea and played Deepika’s favorite number – Bachna A Haseeno title song then she was able to get cool and normal and gave the shot perfectly.

It’s really very strange that a girl who is not shy wearing ultra hot attire and doing sensuous dance moves for an item number, why she got so nervous for shooting a small ad film ?

Well, May be, giving intimate shower shot together with anybody else other than her beau Ranbir was the reason of her shyness.

After all, Ranbir also felt shy and found it difficult to shoot a hot intimate scene with sexy Kashmeera Shah last days…
