After the grand success of Gajhni’s Hindi remake, Asin must have thought to say bye bye to regional cinema and to totally concentrate on her bollywood career but things did not favoured her and turn out so well.
Asin’s second Hindi release ” London Dreams” was proved an utter flop on the box-office despite of having big brand names, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan and thus sweet innocent Kalpana of Gajhni is compelled to turn back to regional cinema. Recently, Asin has been signed for a new project “kavalkaran” in which she is going to be paired with Southern hot star Vijay.
Couple of years back Asin was the number one actress in kollywood but will she be able to repeat the same magic once again after the long gap of almost 2 years? Well, when Asin was asked the same, she answered quite confidently, “It is not a comeback at all.
I have never left the Tamil film industry and have always maintained that I’m open to good projects. I have not restricted myself to any one industry. Even after the Tamil Ghajini became a superhit, I didn’t go on a signing spree though I was flooded with offers. I took my time before doing Pokkiri and Dasavatharam.
Further, Asin revealed some interesting fact about her personality like she is kind of bit introvert and does not like partying too much, going to night clubs and all. When questioned about Dhoni and her growing friendship, she preferred to say “No comments”.
Pretty actress also talked about her upcoming bollywood projects. “I will start work on a film with John Abraham, which is being directed by Nishikant Kamath. It is a remake of my Telugu film Gharshana (the Kaakha Kaakha remake). After that, I will do Aneez Bazmi’s remake of the Telugu flick Ready with Salman Khan”, says Asin.
Well, Asin is definitely a versatile actress with amazing attitude and we wish Asin good luck to regain her hold over regional cinema once again.
