Later, Amrita realised the fact and worked hard for couple of years to break her set image of pure traditional indian girl which was neccessary to compete with fellow leading ladies Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra etc who are glamorous as well as talented and could be easily fit in any sort of roles.

Recently Amrita spoke about her, told her views on several current affairs and revealed some interesting things in a face to face interview.

Few days back, there was a rumor in the air that Amrita Rao was about to participate in the wedding swayambar reality show on small screen, but when Amrita was asked on the matter, she clarified. “I will never go for a swayamvar even for a million bucks! I never want to be put in a situation where I get to choose my groom from 10 guys selected by someone else. I would rather have the liberty to choose my own partner, says Amrita.”

Discussing about her love life & marriage plans in near future, pretty actress smiled & revealed, “Yes, there are lots of guys — filmi and non-filmi — trying to woo me. But, I’m not giving them any bhav,” she confesses rather shyly. And when will she start thinking in this direction? “You never know when love catches you in that off-guard moment.” Well said, Amrita.

Recently she posed too hot photo shoot for famous men magzine “ The Men”. Recently, during an interview when Amrita was asked her opinions on pre martial sex…. the one time shy girl spoke bodly on the subject. She said, “I don’t think there is any harm in people getting physically close to each other in a relationship that too before marriage.” She explains her view as “If there is romance, there is bound to be some level of physical intimacy between the couple. As long as both the duo is comfortable it’s no harm,” and added, “If it’s their decision to take their rapport in that level with precautions then its fine.”

Well Amrita Rao all you say in fine but don’t get lost & lose your self identity to compete in number game.

It was the movie, “ My Name is Anthony Gonsalves” , in which, for the very first time, Amrita Rao appeared in a hot and sexy awtaar but unfortunately film did not do well at box-office and so Amrita’s new stunning look also did not got noticed much.  Next, once again, Amrita played a village belle in “Welcome to Sajjanpur” and received strong appreciation from fans and critics for her to the point , natural performance but now Amrita is all set to carry her hot and sexy look in her forthcoming film “Shortcut”. Reports reveals that sweety Amrita will be seen in sexy, skimpy dresses, ultra short minis and shorts and will be sizzling in micro-bikini on sea shore. However in this film, Amrita is casted opposite actor Akshay Khanna and playing character of such a girl who gives up her career and choose love.

Now a days, one song promo of shortcut which is featured on Anil Kapoor, Snajya Dutt with her  is showing Amrita’s new sexy look on every channel and Amrita is getting lots of appreciation too from fans.

During an interview when Amrita was asked on her new sexy make over, she said, ““Well, I still am the sweet me, but a dash of spice is always exciting. “As an actress, it’s good to surprise your fans once in a while.” …actress also said, ““Well this was the first time that I have gone ultra glam for the role but let me make it clear I had no inhibitions when doing it. I was confident and wanted to do something different. The best of roles have walked my way and I have achieved creative satisfaction with films like Shyam Benegal’s Welcome To Sajjanpur and Rajashri’s Vivaah. So here I was trying to do something new and different.i don’t want to get typecast in any role.

After her disastrous first film, Amrita took some time off and did her homework well. She was back soon and seen in the movie Ishq Vishk, opposite Shahid Kapoor. She was very well accepted in the film, which made her a star overnight. That was only the beginning for Amrita, who then went on to star in big movies with the biggest superstars of the country like Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgan. Her performance in Masti, where she played a nagging housewife, showed her talent wonderfully and she was soon accepted as a good actress. She then went on to do Main Hoon Naa with SRK and Sushmita Sen, a film that proved to be one of the biggest hits in Bollywood.

Amrita Rao has ever since done some great films. She was a part of the award winning film Vivah, and she herself was nominated for a number of awards for the film. Her most frequent onscreen partner has been Shahid Kapoor, and at one time it was even rumored that the two of them were in a relationship. However, like always, they both said they were just “good friends”. Amrita is very selective about the roles she plays, and as a result is only seen in one or two movies a year. Her last release, Welcome to Sajjanpur was a critical as well as commercial success and it won her a lot of praises.

Amrita is often seen accompanied by her mother on the sets. She has even been called a baby for this, but she does not seem to care. She has a great attitude and innocence that makes her very adorable. Her beautiful face and very well toned body also adds to her oomph factor, making her the queen of hearts.
